Train
Trains run from Waterloo to Petersfield approximately every half hour during the week, on the Portsmouth line and take just over one hour. Find out about times at National Rail enquiries www.nationalrail.co.uk or 08457 484950.
Airports
Southampton is the nearest airport (30 mins by taxi) but Gatwick and Heathrow are easily accessible. Train travel from Gatwick is via Guildford (journey time 60-90 minutes), whilst from Heathrow the coachlink to Woking station takes about 45mins, with a further 40 minutes for a train to Petersfield. Taxis to Heathrow or Gatwick cost about £65 in regular hours.
Driving
The A3 London to Portsmouth route provides good access to the motorway network. From Junction 10 of the M25 journey time is about 30 minutes. The A272, a beautiful road that has a colour picture book written about it (A272: Ode to a Road by Pieter Boogaart), goes through Petersfield and provides access to Winchester and the M3, A34 Newbury and Oxford route to the Midlands and to West Sussex.
When you arrive at Petersfield (from the A3 southbound and via the one way system), you will see the Red Lion (Wetherspoons) pub. Turn left into Heath Road (a continuation of the High Street) and park in the Festival Hall car park. Return on foot to the top of Heath Road where it joins Dragon Street and our entrance is a grey door by the pedestrian crossing between the Natural Food Deli, (ideal for a coffee or a healthy meal before or after your visit) and the Duet clothes shop.
