Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Energy worker (Usui Reiki Master, distance healing and Angelic Reiki Master Teacher), Meditation Teacher, Past Life Regression Therapist.
Fauzia offers one to one therapy sessions as well as running a weekly group meditation session at Worcester House. Alongside her therapy practice she is a health experience and qualitative researcher.
I came to the UK in 1976 and grew up with a fusion of cultures (Irish, South Asian and English). I was brought up to see work as a vehicle for creating positive change in the world. I initially studied law, with a focus on law’s role in social change, and lectured at the London School of Economics from 2008 to 2013. I left to pursue a career in wellbeing therapies and have been seeing clients in Hampshire and West Sussex since 2015. Alongside my therapy work I also write, research and publish in the field of health experiences. Most of my research since 2015 has been for the University of Oxford, and I have contributed to several projects for the multi-media award winning health information website Healthtalk.org.
At Worcester House, I run weekly drop in meditation sessions that draw on Eastern (Raja Yoga and Buddhist) and Western (secular and mindfulness) approaches to meditation. For me meditation has always offered a pause button, a way to reset my body and mind. It is about being curious, tending to any strong emotions or thoughts, and ultimately treating yourself with compassion. The sessions are fully led by me and begin with relaxation and basic breathing techniques. I believe we are physical, emotional and energetic beings, and these guided meditations help to release blockages on all these levels. I also support participants in setting up their own meditation practice, and there is always time for people to chat about their experiences afterwards! There is more information on my meditation facebook page, Breathing Space Meditation and some sample meditations here.
I also offer one to one sessions, which are tailored to each client. I only take on a few clients a month and work in depth with each client to help them with the transformations they seek. My approach is anchored in the understanding that we are all unique, and uniquely valuable, and by releasing ourselves from negative beliefs, and moving beyond past experiences, we can ‘free ourselves to be ourselves’! I am a qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapy, and Past Life Regression therapist and I am an Energy based healer (Usui Reiki and Angelic Reiki). If you are interested in working one to one please call me (07949 736 553) for a free telephone consultation to discuss how I can help.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy – I qualified as a cognitive hypnotherapist in 2015 at the Quest Institute in London. Cognitive hypnotherapy is a talking therapy that works on the root causes of unwanted unconscious behaviours and beliefs, while giving people tools to change how they respond to difficult situations. A session can include the use of light or deep hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Integration (EMI), REWIND (fast phobia cure), positive psychology and other proven techniques such as Regression and Gesalt. I have helped clients with anything from generalized anxiety to specific challenges, such as fears and phobias, low self-esteem and self-confidence, PTSD, anger, irritability, chronic pain, or unhealthy relationships. You can read more about cognitive hypnotherapy on my website. I also post videos, share interesting research and post events on my Cognitive Hypnotherapy facebook page.
Usui Reiki and distance healing – I was attuned in the ancient art of Usui Reiki in 2008 and regularly offer sessions at Worcester House, at local wellbeing fairs and through healing circles. Reiki is a deeply relaxing hands free treatment where the therapist helps to realign the flow of subtle energies in and around the body, particularly through the main energy centres (chakras). It is based on the principle that negative life events, beliefs and emotions are stored in the energetic, emotional and eventually in the physical body, leading to imbalances and malaise. There is more information on my Reiki facebook page.
For those who can’t make it to see me I also offer distance healing. I also periodically set up a healing grid to send healing to those in need. If you have a situation or person who you would like to be sent distant healing, please follow me and message me on facebook or e-mail/call me directly (contact@fauzknight.com).
Angelic Reiki –I was attuned to angelic Reiki in 2018. Angelic Reiki is a powerful hands free treatment where energy from the Angelic realm is channelled through the therapist for the client’s highest good. The therapist does not actively engage in the healing but creates a safe protected space, and acts as a channel. I encourage clients to come with any questions they have about their life. Sometimes the client or therapist may receive messages or guidance about particular challenges the client is facing.
Past Life Regression – I offer Introductory (one and half hours) and full (two to three hours) past life regression sessions. These may focus on helping clients to investigate current life purpose, lessons from past lives, or how past life challenges relate to this life. There is a prerequisite for the full sessions. For more information click here.
Research and publication – I research and write alongside my therapy work and since 2015 have contributed to Information Standards Accredited multimedia websites for health information on Psychosis, Acne, Alopecia, and Psoriasis, experiences of Electroconvulsive Therapy, ECT and of supported decision making within mental health services (SDM and Carer’s Experiences). I have also published academic papers on living with chronic pain and rheumatoid arthritis , Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and the different expectations people have of being supported in their mental health treatment options. For my doctorate (2001-2004) I carried out fieldwork, living with a disadvantaged chthonic people in South Asia, and examined how individuals met their own needs within the (micro-)power dynamics of the family, village community and state. I later used this to reflect on power struggles within British South Asian families in the context of my experiences of working in the British Foreign Office to set up the world’s first Forced Marriage Unit in 2000. You can read more about this in My Book: Law, Power and Culture: Supporting Change from Within (Palgrave Macmillan)
